Exactly 10 days from now I’ll officially be Mrs! It has been a long road and I feel like I’ve come a long way from who I used to be in many aspects of my life. I think the most important lesson I’ve learnt this year is that it is not necessarily always a bad thing to let go of people and things that create negative affects in your life. Before this I used to spend a lot of time and emotional energy in trying to fix things that are not up to me to fix. I was fighting a losing battle. But ever since I’ve cut lose the emotional responsibilities of trying to work on things that are completely out of my hands, I’ve been much happier and I now feel much lighter – meaning that I actually finally have the time and energy to work on things that I truly love.
Not everything is worth putting the efforts into and not everything is up to you to make right. So whatever that might be for you, give it your best shot and if for what ever reason it doesn’t work out – just know that you really did try your best and move on. The last thing you should be doing is getting bogged down on the same old things that don’t move you forward.
Everyone is responsible for their own happiness – and I love knowing this because that means that if I’m not happy, then I have the power to take charge of my own life and change that.
The sunglasses are made from wood! These particular ones I have are made from bamboo.
